Anson County 4-H and 4-H Youth Promise will host its Clover Crawl Social and Dance. The event will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 from 7 pm - Midnight at the Twin Valley Country Club in Wadesboro. Funds raised will be used to support on-going 4-H youth programs in Anson County. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased the Extension Office located at 501 McLaurin Street in Wadesboro. The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Center in Anson County observes standard county hours of operation and holidays. We are open for business from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Of course, we frequently have evening meetings and weekend workshops when you can catch us too. If you need to meet with us at a time different from standard hours, just call. We will be happy to accommodate your schedule.

Anson County Voluntary and Enhanced Voluntary Agricultural District Ordinance

Anson County Commissioners adopted the ordinance on March 3, 2009, in recognition of the value agriculture has in the county. This ordinance establishes a Voluntary Agricultural District Program that preserves and maintains agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and open land areas within the county. In addition, the program works to protect greenspace and natural resources in future years as the county's population and development expands. Contracted with Cooperative Extension, the ordinance is administered by the Anson County Voluntary Agricultural Advisory Board.
