_______________________________________ Anson County Voluntary and Enhanced Voluntary Agricultural District Ordinance
Anson County Commissioners adopted the ordinance on March 3, 2009, in recognition of the value agriculture has in the county. This ordinance establishes a Voluntary Agricultural District Program that preserves and maintains agriculture, horticulture, forestry, and open land areas within the county. In addition, the program works to protect greenspace and natural resources in future years as the county's population and development expands. Contracted with Cooperative Extension, the ordinance is administered by the Anson County Voluntary Agricultural Advisory Board. More information, applications and the ordinance itself can be accessed through the following links. ♦County GIS Voluntary Agricultural Districts Layer ♦Current Voluntary Agricultural Districts Map ♦VAD/EVAD Application for Membership ♦Anson County Agricultural Advisory Board ♦Anson County Voluntary and Enhanced Voluntary (VAD/EVAD) Ordinance Brochures and applications are also available at Brown Creek Soil & Water, Anson County Farm Service Agency, Office of the Anson County Planner and Tax Assessor's Office.
