The NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services’ (NCDA&CS) Pesticide Disposal Assistance Program, a non-regulatory and cost-free program, in cooperation with the Anson County Cooperative Extension Service, will be sponsoring a Pesticide Collection Day on Thursday, November 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anson Co. Farmers Market located at 1736 US Highway 52N, Wadesboro, NC 28170. Aimee Colf, Anson County Cooperative Extension’s Horticulture Agent, is coordinating the collection with NCDA&CS and the Anson Farmers Market.

Improper disposal of pesticides may result in surface or groundwater pollution. This program gives pesticide users the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted  insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodent baits, and other pesticide products.

Nearly all pesticide products will be accepted, including banned and out dated pesticides in up to 5 gallon containers. Bulk liquids over 5gal in size require pre-approval from our Contractor, so please call ahead.
